Our Carnival Dream Cruise was WONDERFUL! by
Pam W from Pittsfield, PA
Sailing date: Aug 2010 Pros:
We loved the relaxation the most. The staff was great and entertainment was awesome.
Cons:
The smoke in the one lounge.
We had an awesome time. The food was great and lots of it! The staff was so nice, friendly and helpful. The entertainment was superior. There was always something going on (if you wanted to attend), the activities were fun and great for all ages. The ports were clean and nice, fun to visit. We can't wait for our next cruise. I will recommend it to everyone!
Ship Quality The ship was big, but so clean and fresh. The layout was easy to follow. Everything was done so quickly and quietly. I was thrilled at the ease of the entire process.
Dining/Food The food was great. Wonderful variety. Very elegant without being stuffy. Our waiter was awesome. So funny and fun. When the staff sang their goodbye song, it brought tears to my eyes because I was really going to miss them.
Stateroom Quality The rooms aren't huge, but what do you expect. I thought it was a good size and had a lot of space. We had more than enough room for all our clothes in drawers or hanging up. The beds were awesome. I would have liked to have brought mine home with me!!
Ship Staff Quality I can't say enough about the staff. They all do such a wonderful job. Our dinner waiter was funny, fun and so very nice. Our room staff was prompt, efficient, and so friendly. They always made sure we had water in our room.
Entertainment & Activities The entertainment was excellent. The dancers were great and the singers were awesome. We couldn't wait for our nightly Encore entertainment. We never missed a night. Our Cruise Director was great and so was his staff. We had a ball with the "colors" competition.(even though our team lost :( )
Collapse List of Ports
Belize City, Belize We only went to the shopping center.
Costa Maya, Mexico We only went to the shopping center. We enjoyed the entertainment of the local dancers.
Cozumel, Mexico We only went to the shopping center, but it was fun.
Roatan (Isla Roatan), Bay Islands, Honduras We went to the shopping center and rode the chair lift over to the beach. It was a beautiful ride. Great breeze and it gave us a beautiful view of the water.

Dream Cruise by
A Traveler from Charlotte, NC
Sailing date: Jun 2010 Pros:
The ports we visited
Cons:
The ship was difficult to navigate and we got lost several times.
This was our first time cruising with Carnival. We wanted to try it because of the Dream Ship. While it was a beautiful ship, we found it difficult to find our way around resulting in us never finding some things we had set out to find! We truly enjoyed the food stations like the Tandoori and Deli but wished that the hours of operation were posted at each station instead of having to look at the paperwork left in our room. The food overall was very very good. Our servers/waiters in the dining room were excellent, very friendly and made us look forward to dinner every night. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the ship also and the attention to detail to mop up water, clean finger prints, etc. And a final note: Each time we attempted to go to the Serenity section for adults only it was full and we wondered why was it put right next to the large slide where all the children were? Overall though, we enjoyed our cruise and loved the excursions we chose. Too bad we were unable to stop in Costa Maya though but we understand and appreciate your attention to the safety of everyone.
Ship Quality The ship seemed to be broken in pieces making it difficult to find certain areas.
Dining/Food
Stateroom Quality Our attendant was wonderful and did a great job. We would have liked to get a fresh/new bar of soap about half way through the week as ours ran out and we had to use the liquid soap in the shower.
Ship Staff Quality Some of the staff was very friendly, some kept to themselves and seemed to only be concerned with their next task. My only explanation was maybe the language barrier made it difficult. The staff working in the halls on the rooms were always friendly to us. The staff walking around doing multiple jobs in The Gathering area were all business. A few times we had to wait for them to pass through a door or isle.
Entertainment & Activities We enjoyed the shows a lot and while we only participated in a few games/activities, we had a lot of fun. The staff was great on those.
Collapse List of Ports
Belize City, Belize We were surprised by how little there was to do here. But our excursion was the BEST, we did the Raiders of the Lost Mayans and it was outstanding. Good thing it took almost the whole day because it would have been a waste of time for us. Good job informing us while in the ship about being sure to have something planned.
Don't Miss: Raiders of the Lost Mayans was awesome.
Cozumel, Mexico We would have liked more time on the beach after our sail and snorkel time.
Roatan (Isla Roatan), Bay Islands, Honduras Carnival has it right with this one. Owning the beach and area is perfect.

great family vacation by
A Traveler from Florida
Sailing date: Jun 2010 Pros:
the food & entertainment
Cons:
camp carnival
The ship is very nice. Spacious, something for everyone. Families have a lot of flexibility for dining & entertainment.
Ship Quality Very good quality. Very impressed with level of cleanliness.
Dining/Food Extremely nice menu & service in the Scarlet & Crimson dining rooms. Food was always fresh & improvements were definitely made since my last Carnival cruise, for example- better coffee quality.
Stateroom Quality Very nice- beds were comfortable & the steward was right on top of keeping everything clean & well- stocked.
Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & Activities Shows were fantastic. My kids loved the water slides. Quality of comedy club was good. Many choices- never boring!
Children's Programs Facility was nice. The staff however, could have been nicer. Several seemed "worn out" & grumpy. They should offer choices for the kids for activities rather than demand that they do each organized activity together (some of these appeared to be more for girls).

It was great - beautiful. The dining room was very clean and the staff excellent.
Ship Quality It was great and clean.
Dining/Food Loved the dining room. We got to change our time from late to early dining with no problem.
Stateroom Quality The stateroom was great - we had an inside room. Plenty of room for 2.
Ship Staff Quality Our room attendant was great. We had a problem the first day with our pillows and he went out of his way to help. Also, he remembered our names every time he saw us.....GREAT.

A wonderful cruise by
Rhonda and Jeff G from Tampa Fl
Sailing date: Dec 2009 Pros:
Everything
Cons:
didn't have a bad experience
The entire ship was wonderful. We took the 1st cruise out of Port Canaveral. From the time we entered the ship to the time we left after 9 days, everybit of the ship was clean and the staff wonderful. We enjoyed it so much we are taking our family back on the ship in the summer.
Ship Quality Huge ship, and everything was easy to find. The ship was very clean and the decor was wonderful also. Very pretty. The lido deck flowers hanging near the pool were a very nice touch to the area. Made it feel warm
Dining/Food Large variety of food that was very good. Love the ice cream and frozen yogart. Pasta bar was great also.
Stateroom Quality We had a balcony and I must say it is one of the best I have had yet after going on 5 cruises.
Ship Staff Quality All the staff were so polite. Our room stewart was very nice and always made sure that if there was anything that we needed he got it for us.

Cant' get any better! by
Don & Sue from Okeechobee, Florida
Sailing date: Apr 2010 Pros:
Overall service of entire ship
Cons:
Photo's being taken at gangplank when we got off ship, blocking quick departure
We have traveled on Carnival before, but this was a different ship. The overall quality of this ship can not be faulted. the staff and service were first rate. The waiters knew us anywhere on the ship, and made a point of asking if we were ok, and if there was anything they could do for us. You had a question, the staff had the answers almost before you asked. I can't say enought to congradulate the responsible parties for training the entire ship's staff. No matter where we went, it was a positive experience. Looking forward to another trip.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food you could not find a better staff. food was excellent, and beautifully presented. It was always an "experience" to dine in the evenings.
Stateroom Quality The young man that cared for our room seemed to go beyond his duties to make sure we were well taken care of, and the room was clean and neat at all times.
Ship Staff Quality Did not find any staff member that didn't go "above and beyond" our expectations.

Better than what we expected by
Kris & Dan C from Combined Locks WI
Sailing date: Oct 2009 Pros:
The opportunity to see different countries-not driving ourselves and not lugging luggage
Cons:
The spa room being below the fitness center-way to noisy-the spa opened at 6 AM and closed at 10 PM-then cleaning!! Not restful at all
The cruise overall was a good time. We thought we could have been told better about disemabrking the ship at ports of call. The waitstaff in the Scarlet room were great kids. Lots of fun and very attentive-(Pat-Allen and Rodger) Kris kept our room clean and he was there for us at all times. Our complaint was the nise from above in the spa-The cleaning schedule was changed but the fitness center still had continuos pounding.
The food was great...one will never go hungry.
Ship Quality the ship was alwyas clean. I think the cruisers shoudl be more the ship was always clean. I think the cruisers should be more thoughtful and pick up after themselves a bit more. But the crews keep shining and cleaning 24/7 the ship is big, almost too bigthoughtful and pick up after themselves a bit more. But the crews keep shining and cleaning 24/7 the ship is big, almost too big
Dining/Food loved the choice of good dining in the Scarlet room and as I said the wait staff. The late dining was great for us.
Stateroom Quality The size was good and condition of the room was good but again it was the noise--we wanted rest and comfort.
Ship Staff Quality all the staff was great-helpful and there for us.
Entertainment & Activities we didn't take in too many of the shows. But the activities on days at sea were fun to attend.
