Robert T from Huntsville, AL
Sailing date: Jul 2010 Pros:
The wide variety of food, everything was excellent.
Cons:
Wish we could have stayed longer.
This was our honeymoon and neither of us had every been on a cruise before. We were reluctant to cruise because of all the water but friends and family convinced us we would have a great time and we did. This was the best vacation I have every taken and we will cruise again.

Super time!!!!!!!!!!!! by
Debbie R from Daytona Beach, Fl
Sailing date: Jun 2010 Pros:
We loved our Suite.
Cons:
Crowded at times.
We have been on many cruises, this one we had a suite. I think from now on I will get a suite, we had a whirlpool bathtub, makeup table and a balcony, it was so great, the ship was beautiful, we had 12 people on this cruise and had a wonderful time.

Great Cruise by
Mark V from Nashville,Tn
Sailing date: Jun 2010 Pros:
Ports, Food and Deck Games
Cons:
Shows
Ship was great !!!
Ship Quality After 1 day it was pretty easy to navigate the ship. Room was a bit larger than I thought it would be ! Inside cabin 6295...
Very Clean throught the ship. Decor was fine, didn't really look at it anyway? 22 people in our group and everyone had a great time.
Pool seems small but always had room. Pool Slide was fun as was Mini Golf.
Dining/Food Beat NCL for taste and meals. Had 2 Lobsters on Captains Dinner.
Prime Rib 2 different nights. Lamb,Ribs,Filet Mignon, and Salmon.
Sushi every night but 1. Deli Sandwiches and 24 Hour Pizza. They also had Hamburgers and Hot Dogs by the pool. Fish and Chips were good plus some Wok Food...Gained some major LBS.. haha
Stateroom Quality Bigger than I thought it would be with an ice box... We had adjoining room with our 15 year old Daughters. It worked out great. Room attendant was great, never saw her !!!
Ship Staff Quality Had one incident had a neice who fell and split her chin open by the pool. They fixed her up and even called the next day to see how she was doing. Never talked lawsuit either ! haha
Entertainment & Activities The best show was in the Karaoke Lounge !!! I'm not kidding either ! The guy that ran it was great...He was backup singing for everyone and made it fun. His solo to a male passenger was hilarious...Gym was nice staff a bit stuffy for me! Seemed like we were in the way !
Children's Programs Only wish they would have more things for parents and kids to do together. 60 min of Karaoke wasn't quite enough. Combine the 12-14 with 15-17 with some stuff ? Younger ones never wanted to leave.

Great "virgin" experience! by
Julie S. from Washington, DC
Sailing date: May 2010 Pros:
The staff was phenomenal - they knew our names from the moment we stepped into our cabin or sat down at our table. And they took care of everything we needed!
Cons:
The crowd was interesting - people from all walks of life.
I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the Carnival Freedom surpassed any expectations I may have had. I was worried about feeling cramped or claustrophobic, but even the smallest stateroom was generous, and the rest of the ship was huge! There was plenty to do, so I never felt at a loss, but there was also plenty of freedom to relax and do nothing, which was exactly what I needed!
Ship Quality Everything is decorated to the hilt - and kept spotless!
Dining/Food I definitely appreciated the later seating option in the dining room to avoid most of the kids. The food in the dining room was excellent and the buffet was good too!
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & Activities I wouldn't have minded fewer announcements about the activities and would have liked a few more adults-only options, but otherwise, it was fine.
Collapse List of Ports
Key West, Florida I'd rather have had another international stop but made the best of this American port.
Stop by Cocktails! on Duval to get insights into local stuff to do. And if you can get in to Blue Heaven for lunch, we heard it's worth the wait!
George Town, Grand Cayman The shopping is only okay, and the snorkeling isn't much, but the stingrays make it all worth it.
Don't Miss: Stingray City
Ocho Rios, Jamaica Dunn's River Falls is amazing - wear your swimsuit, take water shoes and a waterproof camera case and make the hike all the way up. Don't bother booking in advance - you can negotiate with the taxi drivers (the official ones you run into first are better than the ones who'll harass you later on). Also worth a drive through Fern Gully if you have time.

What a great cruise! by
Terri B. from Prospect, CT
Sailing date: Apr 2010 Pros:
The ship was fabulous - so clean you could eat off of the floor and the staterooms were spacious. Lots for kids to do - Camp Carnival was awesome!
Cons:
Selection of food at buffets and long lines.. The food was good but there was only one buffet open for dinner. The hot dogs, hamburgers area closed at 6:00 pm and the dinner buffet was limited (they told us they were cutting back on food, trying to be heatlhier!).
The ship was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Large staterooms, plenty of elevators and stairways. Never a wait in the dining room.

Exceptionally Nice Cruise by
Michael K from EVANSVILLE, IN
Sailing date: Mar 2010 Pros:
Cleanliness & Fresshness of Ship
Cons:
Food Lines at Buffet were always very long
This was our 3rd sailing with Carnival. We have sailed with two other well known cruise lines & this ship Carnival Freedom has been our most favorite to date! Only one negative for us was the long lines in the self serve buffets, other than that issue everything about this cruise, the accomodations, ammenities, staff, quality of food, cleanliness, entertainment, everything, was exceptional! Even our fellow cruisers were all very respectable of each other, very curteous & nice, there was not a rough party crowd, but rather a huge amount of family oriented guests who were all so friendly & liked to have a good time in very respectable ways. We felt absolutely safe, comfy & happy! Can't wait to cruise with Carnival again!
Ship Quality
Dining/Food Fine Dining great!

good family time by
A Traveler from atlanta, ga
Sailing date: Mar 2010 Pros:
dinning room waiter
Cons:
room service
nice ship, food is good not great. Room service was terrible showing up late or not at all. Staff(including dinning, guest services, and general staff) unable to accommodate anything that varied from their routine. They would either "pass the buck" to another staff member or just say they don't have it or can"t do it. Service issues like this sets Carnival below other cruise lines. Over all a good family vacation if you are not expecting excellent service.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food
Stateroom Quality nice size state room and bathrooms. House keeping was great
Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & Activities
Children's Programs good for teens
