Vacation of a Lifetime! by
Wanda and Billy V from St. Philips, NL, Canada
Sailing date: Aug 2010 Pros:
Life onboard the ship.
We recently went on our very first cruise. We had wanted to take a cruise for a very long time, however for one reason or another, we just kept putting it off. Until, last year we had a tragedy in our family which made us realize that life is so unexpected, short and taken for granted. So, we decided that we were going to do it, take our first Cruise! And it was worth it. It was the most amazing vacation we have ever taken in our 20 years together. Two other couples came with us and we all had a blast. The ship was amazing, beautiful lounges, bars, casino, dining room, staterooms. The dining room service was out of this world, our servers were amazing, they knew what foods we all liked and enjoyed, they knew what beverages we enjoyed, they we so friendly and full of life. The shows during our dining were so fun, watching our servers dance and actaully dancing with them! The stateroom service from our server, Andy was unbeleiveable. We did not have to ask for our room to be serviced, he always took care of it. He greated us daily, asked about our day and our plans, was truely interested in us. The dance bar was so high energy and fun, we danced the nights away!! The cansio was fun and full of life, the shopping was amazing onboard the ship. The resort style deck was amazing, so upbeat, fun and full of life. We spent many hours there! We had the time of our lives. We will definatley be taking another cruise really soon!!
Ship Quality The ship was breathtaking!
Dining/Food The food was out of this world. From the buffets, room service, dining, and pizza bar. We were never hungry, and always experienced amazing tasting food!
Stateroom Quality Our stateroom was beautiful. The king sized bed was so comfortable, giving us a perfect nights sleep after every busy and fun filled day! My bed at home is not as nice :)
Ship Staff Quality There was always someone there to help and great you onboard the ship. Nothing was too much trouble, and they were always willing to help. We have never exprienced this time of customer service at any hotel or restaurant!
Entertainment & Activities There was always something fun to do. We were never without something fun to do. Amazing types of entertainment and activities, beyond my wildest dreams.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island We did the shopping and beach day. This was amazing, the water was warm and beautiful. The resort was also very inviting.
Don't Miss: Banana Boat Ride!! Awesome
Nassau, Bahamas We visited the Wyndam Resort. This was simply breathtaking!! The beach was beauitful, the pools were amazing, the staff at the resort was fantastic. The buffet at the resort was also delisious.

A wonderful fantasy! by
Todd from Louisville, Ky
Sailing date: Aug 2010 Pros:
The service by all staff
Cons:
Elevator issues
We had a great cruise on the Carnival Fantasy. Everything from the boarding process to shore excursions went as smooth as possible. Our dining experience was the most wonderful part. We were waited on by two great waiters. They not only gave us excellent service, but also were friendly and entertaining. The nightly "shows" they put on for us were hilarious. Our entire cruise had a common thread of second to none service by the staff. Not only the food service, but the state room steward as well.
The only issues we had were inconvenient elevator operations on two occassions, but when everything else runs so smoothly, it is a little petty to even bring it up.
I highly recommend sailing on the Carnival Fantasy. It is truly an experience that everyone will love!

Beautiful experience ! by
A Traveler from columbia, south carolina
Sailing date: Jul 2010 Pros:
Luigi's Piano music
Cons:
Smoke from the bar areas upstairs
All staff were there for us 100% very attentive and caring.
The food was outstanding and there were so many activities for everyone. I definitely give the highest rating for a
cruise as I also heard comments from various passengers that
the Carnival was definitely the best because they had cruised
on other ships.
Ship Quality Exceptionally clean at all times.
Dining/Food Fabulous! So many different types of foods - everything
from gourmet to pizza or hot dogs. This will definitely
spoil you.
Stateroom Quality Everything furnished and checked on very frequently.
Never a complaint from this part. The beds were very comfortable.
Ship Staff Quality Room service was very fast and available 24 hours per day.
If you needed anything at all it was quickly brought to you
with a smile!
Entertainment & Activities There are so many activities for all age groups. I enjoyed
the shows very much and particularly Luigi and his piano music, also having tea with Luigi at Cleopatra's.

good cruise if you like bingo by
Arden from Springfield, MO
Sailing date: Jun 2010 Pros:
dining room food and wait staff
Cons:
seating for entertainment, weak entertainment, constant sales pitches
The dining room food and service was excellent, but much of the cruise seemed like repetitious attempts to sell something. The pool was generally too crowded to do more than stand in the water. The entertainment was weaker than on previous cruises, and decent seats were hard to get unless you are a bingo player. If you come an hour early and buy a bingo card, youll have prime seating for the show, but otherwise youll have to have the ability to see through things to have a good look. Twice the ship arrived late in port, creating challenges for connecting with shore excursions. With long lines ready to disembark, they tried to make each group stop on the gangplank for a picture.
Ship Quality Some very attractive areas and adequate rooms. Bathroom plug didnt work. Not as crisp and clean as previous, perhaps due to age.
Dining/Food The dining room was a big plus with outstanding wait staff and excellent food. However, the buffet and other eating areas were short on diversity of options, quality, and times of availability. Really bad pizza, dull desserts (good frozen yogurt), no berries of any type were available, and many times when most things are closes. Longer lines than others we have been on; but not bad if you want hamburgers and French fries.
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality The excursion staff did not seem as knowledgeable and helpful as expected, with an emphasis on avoiding excursions not booked with the ship.
Entertainment & Activities The main show was ok, but I never had a good seat to watch it. The best singing on the ship was the Karaoke. Other than the main show on two occasions from a seat with a poor view, I didnt see any professional quality entertainment.

Key West, Florida The kayak and snorkel trip we took offerred little wildlife, and not a good time investment. But I think there may be better ones making trips to reefs.
Freeport, Grand Bahama Island We went to the Wyndotte resort for an all inclusive day. We kayaked and snorkeled, seeing a huge number of remarkably colorfull fish. The beaches were gorgeous and the food was excellent.
Nassau, Bahamas Swimming with the dolphins at Blue Lagoon was an expensive but incredibly worth it experience. From what I was told, don't do the Atlantis tour because it is accompanied with a lot of sales and dead time. Dolphin Encounters at Blue Lagoon had remarkably friendly people in a beautiful environment with dolphins that are well cared for and seemed to be having a great time. (As we were leaving the dolphin area, one was trying to throw me a football,)

A Super Nice Cruise by
Brenda P from Morganton NC
Sailing date: May 2010 Pros:
Clean, remodeled, nice staff
Cons:
photo prices seem higher, bread at supper is hard
The ship was very nice and clean, I loved the marble staircases we made alot of photos on them. My husband loves the casino on the ship, he spent alot of time there. I didn't purchase as many photos this cruise the prices seem higher than past times, the bread is hard they need croissant rolls for supper. Everything else was good and we had a great time, our third cruise on Carnival.
Dining/Food Improve on the bread, everyone complained around us
Stateroom Quality Very clean and maintained
Ship Staff Quality Friendly nice crew
Entertainment & Activities Entertainment good, it was greatest on ship Splendor

The Best Trip EVER! by
Lynn C. from Charlotte, NC
Sailing date: May 2010 Pros:
The adult only sunning area.
Cons:
The price of drinks at the bar (but I still bought them!)
The Fantasy was a beautiful boat. It is 20 years old, but did not show it's age at all! It was our first cruise and it was the perfect size for us. The ship was immaculately clean. The staff were all fabulous and polite. There were plenty of activities to keep you busy while on board. We never felt bored!
Ship Quality Every area of the ship was clean. I never went into even a rest room that had a drop of dirt anywhere. Everything was accessible. There were numerous people with scooters/wheelchairs on the boat and they were able to get around via numerous elevators.
Dining/Food The food was great and plentiful. One night my husband had 3 entrees!! If the staff had an inkling that you were not satisfied with some aspect of your meal they corrected it. They wait staff in the main dining room were great. There was food out all day and night. I defy anyone to go hungry on this ship!
Stateroom Quality The stateroom was larger than we expected! It was very nice and comfortable. We had a room in the middle of the boat and never felt it rock and it was perfectly located. While I was able to get a blow dryer in the room, there was no way to iron unless you sent your things to the laundry. The people servicing the cabin did a great job!
Ship Staff Quality EVERYONE wanted to help you!! The 'shopping expert' on the ship actually was at one of the jewelry stores we were at and helped us make a deal. Then back on the boat he spent some time with us helping with customs. He was great!
Entertainment & Activities The shows were unreal! I thought they would be cheesy, but they were not. The comedian we saw was a woman we had seen on her own HBO special. While there were many activities (Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' dance lessons, towel animal folding) I did not partake. I just wanted sun!!
Collapse List of Ports
Nassau, Bahamas The port is beautiful and the shopping area was exactly what you would picture a tropical port to look like. The water was gorgeous!!!! We took a ferry ride to a private island for beach time and from the moment we left the port it was just gorgeous!
Don't Miss: Blue Lagoon Island

A very relaxing adventure by
sharon b. from Memphis, TN
Sailing date: May 2010 Pros:
I like the all around set up/cleanliness/and very nice attentive stateroom personnel/dining room waiter and the fact they made great attempts to call u by your first name.
Cons:
the fact that all the pictures on dress up night was 8.5x11 vs 5x7's which was needed for the book I purchase, and that I had to buy the lg photo when I only wanted the smaller-- too many shots wasted because I and my co-worker only wanted the 5x7's
Overall impression was great. Very clean and relaxing every where I went.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food The food was fabulous, variety is always good and the chef's were very nice while preparing.
Stateroom Quality size of room was adequate, but roommate kept hitting/bruising her leg on the end of the bed. Almost not geared towards or for a plus plus size. As for me, I was ok...
Ship Staff Quality all the staff was on point
Entertainment & Activities options were in alignment with daily regime....I had plenty of options
Collapse List of Ports
Calica, Mexico the Mayan Ruin was great, tour guide very knowledgeable and the beach off the ruins was beautiful and relaxing once you climb down the side of the mountain. Not for those who fear heights for sure.....
Cozumel, Mexico The shopping area is very convenient, its the initial scene as you get off, purchased a day pass at the Hyatt, was not pleased with the rocky beach with limited sand area.

Expected good; got excellent! by
Margaret B. from Rossville, TN
Sailing date: Mar 2010 Pros:
Service; helpful attitude; boarding
Cons:
Lines at Customer Services desk were sometimes long
Well managed and maintained ship; excellent cew attitude, always positive and helpful; good crowd flow, never seemed overly crowded; excellent food; absolutely excellent boarding with my daughter in a (left foot) cast!
Ship Quality
Dining/Food Great sushi; lowfat self-serv yougurt. Need to add toasted bagel to room service menu!
Stateroom Quality Excellent location; deck E near elevators. Easy to get anywhere on ship. Comfortable room. Easy to rearrange if need be. Lots of towels available. Would like this cruise option with balcony rooms
Ship Staff Quality Great staff. Cruise director found my daughter sitting and waiting for me to get us checked in, requested a wheelchair, called me on her cell phone and got me out of line and took us aboard ship. Made the whole ordeal of barding with a teenager in a cast with crutches a non-issue. Left email instructions for de-boarding on return which i only had to confirm with purser. It was much easier than expected. Kudos to Carnival.
Entertainment & Activities We didn't attend that many. The ones we did were fun.
