Overall, okay. by
A Traveler from Houston, TX
Sailing date: Nov 2009 Pros:
Food, activities
Cons:
Standing in long lines to get on the ship(for hours). Standing in along line on the stairs to get off the ship at Cozumel. Standing in long lines to disembark in Galveston. I don't like being treated like cattle. I don't think I'll cruise with Carnival again. Life is too short.
Lines, lines, lines! MOO!

excellent cruise! by
A Traveler from Elsa, Texas
Sailing date: Aug 2009 Pros:
there were so many activities and we enjoyed all of them.
Cons:
The water had a funny taste to it, even the tea..... we had to buy our own bottled water, but I did not mind that!!!!
We were impressed with everything, it was so organized. My friends had never been on a cruise, and they were delighted with the way everything was done. Like I have mentioned before, the water(drinking) was terrible, we did not mind purchasing bottled water.
Thanks for everything and we will definitly book another cruise soon!!!

My First Cruise by
Allen H. from Lubbock, TX
Sailing date: Aug 2009 Pros:
The ship, activities, dinner, employees, towel animals
Cons:
prressure to drink
We sailed on the Ecstasy out of Galveston since we live in Texas and could just drive to the port. This was our first cruise and we went with an open mind. The ship was really beautiful, the meals were elegant, the food was great. We had a wonderful experience. One unexpected result was the making of new friendships with our dinner companions.

very uncaring and unfriendly staff by
A Traveler from Tx
Sailing date: Jun 2009 Pros:
the port
Cons:
the staff-rude, tired, stone-faced...
The staff is expert at what to say when there is a problem. No matter where or when we had a question or complaint, the crew always said, "Someone will be here tomorrow morning. No one is available right now." Of course, this is spoken in broken English. Absolutely NO ONE on board cares about the customer. All they want is to push tips and sell the alcohol. The cruise is all about how much money they can make. NO EMPHASIS ON THE ENJOYMENT OF OUR VACATION!!!!!!!
Dining/Food Horrible. Everything made from left-overs...especially potatoes.
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality Only one person looked at me and smiled and said hello. No one else even had a look of pleasantness on their face. No joke!
Entertainment & Activities Fine!
Children's Programs The children's staff yelled at the kids. They did not even act like they like the children. I stuck my head in to check and was appalled at their attitudes...this comment is mostly about the Indonesian women. No patience from them.

Exciting First Cruise by
Melissa M from Houston, Tx
Sailing date: Apr 2009 Pros:
The many choices at our fingertips
Cons:
Deboarding
This was our first cruise and we can't wait to book our next one. We recently sailed on the Carnival Ecstasy Cruise ship and although we have been told we sailed on one of the smaller cruise ships, you wouldn't have known it by the options that were at your fingertips. We loved the comedy shows and the activities they offered throughout the day. The food was amazing and the service far exceeded our expectations. The cruise ship was well maintained and very clean. It's hard to say what the best part of our cruise was but if I had to choose I would say the friends we meet aboard the ship. We look forward to our next cruise however we are not looking forward to the lines we waited in to deboard the ship.
Dining/Food Although the food was excellent and the options were endless, the best part of dining was our Server. The Server was professional, efficient and entertaining.
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality I never wanted for anything while aboard the ship. The staff was eager to help and always available.

Fabulous Vacation!!! by
Dee C from Houston, TX
Sailing date: Feb 2009 Pros:
Plenty to do- or Not do- the staff were all attentive and friendly
Cons:
not enough time in port- would have liked to "see" more
Once you get the lay of the land down- getting about was easy.We were 1st time cruisers and were wary.We had nothing to fear- and we were awed by the service of the staff-and the food was delicious! Our steward on the v deck was informative- and if you went back in to the cabin during the day to rest- the room was back to tip top shape when you went back in-- good bye Vegas-- hello crusing!!!!
