Very disapointed cruise by
Sergio C. from JUNO BEACH, FL
Sailing date: Aug 2010 Pros:
The service of the personnel.
Cons:
The events on the ship and the food.
Too many people for the size of the ship.
The meal in Universe Restaurant is not good.
Endless lines for the buffet of the Lido, where the type of meal is exclusively for a particular taste. Not enough variety.

The staff attitude and mission were all customers driven and it showed in everything they did for us.
Cons:
the price of drinks little high, but that is understandable as that is were the profit real is.
The staff was customer service oriented to the max!!! They were friendly, skilled at their jobs and knowledgeable about every aspect of ship. Clearly, the staff was customer driven, professional and well trained.

Unforgetable Honeymoon! by
Misty M. from Boca Raton, FL
Sailing date: May 2010 Pros:
Excursions offered
When we first started planning our vacation we had several options to choose from. Being a first time cruiser it wasnt easy to choose. In the end we were so glad that we chose Carnival Destiny. The ship was beautiful and well maintained. Customer service was amazing and the food was delicious. I would choose this ship again if I had the chance.

"Georgia Peach goes to the Carribbean" by
Cheryl D. from Atlanta,Ga.
Sailing date: Apr 2010 Pros:
Professionalism of all employees,Chocolate melting cake and the Lamb chops..Im a foodie...
Cons:
Lack of variety of food...Same breakfast, lunch and dinner on Lido deck, slight variation in Galaxy dining room.
Very clean, but a constant "septic/sewer" smell throughout ship, more so on some floors than others, and for GOD'S SAKE PLEASE QUIT CHARGING FOR SOFT DRINKS AND BOTTLED WATER!!
Ship Quality
Dining/Food Lido deck had the same food over and over, but in the dining rooms the quality, variation of food and ambiance were better.
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality All staff that we encountered were very friendly, but our waiter EDGAR(Galaxy Dining room),ZHAYNA(perfume girl on the 5th floor),"SHORTY" from the Phillapines(sold bottled water and Red Bulls as we exited for Jamaica) and Claudius were ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING!!!

Great cruise! by
Mary Beth C. from Brentwood, TN
Sailing date: Mar 2010 Pros:
The staff was unbelievably attentive and pleasant.
Cons:
May sound silly but the TV channel selections were disappointing - March Madness frustration!
What a pleasant surprise! After sailing with Carnival over 20 years ago and then with other more expensive lines in between, I couldn't have been more pleased with the overall experience on Carnival Destiny. The staff was without exception very attentive and pleasant, always ready to help. Our stateroom was plenty roomy with lots of storage capacity. Our room steward kept it immaculate! And our waiter and his assistant made each and every dinner a wonderful experience for everyone at our table. Although the passenger count was larger than on the spotless throughout the day. Just overall a great experience. We will not hesitate to cruise with Carnival in the future.

Nordic Snowbirds soaked in luxury by
Paivi S and Jukka H from Espoo, Finland
Sailing date: Feb 2010 Pros:
Great offshore experiences and enjoyable dining moments, not to forget the luxury of stateroom with balcony view
Cons:
Nothing specific with the cruise itself, but weather wasnt favorable to us this time
Ship was tidy and big enough, well-organized and relaxed atmosphere with excellent cruise management.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food Rating would be otherwise excellent, but the dinner in 'your choice of dining' was good, not outstanding. We loved the excellent restaurant variety especially during lunch time!
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality Housekeeping staff and dinner service staff would get 'the best' rating, as they went above and beyond in their service level.
Entertainment & Activities Among other entertainment & activities, we enjoyed highly energizing personal training at the gym.

would not choose destiny again by
barb m from tampa fl
Sailing date: Jan 2010 Pros:
service
Cons:
food and crowd on lido deck. no serenity location on deck..
this ship appears old. not as clean as others i have been on. restaurnt on lido deck was always crowded and had long lines. dining rooms were a good alternative for all 3 meals. service and personel were friendly and helpful.embarkation and debarkation went smoothly.
Ship Quality not enough quiet areas to just sit and watch the ocean go by. pool areas were always very crowded. no serenity area on this ship. ship size is good.
Dining/Food the dining room food and service was great. the buffet food had no variety and did not look appetizing. the line to eat at the buffet was never ending so we ate most meals in the dining room.
Stateroom Quality we had an inside cabin, they are all pretty much the same. the big difference is location. originally we had 6269 and the 1st night the music downstairs was so loud we requested to relocate. thank goodness there were cabins available. someone came to our cabin with in 30 minutes to show us other cabins (in our catagory) that we could move to. we packed up and moved to front of ship. it was very quiet there. housekeeping was supposed to help us move , but they never showed up. our romm stewart always forgot to leave glasses.
Ship Staff Quality blanka at service desk went above and beyond to find us a quiet cabin.
Entertainment & Activities i didnt stay through the entire show.. it was too loud. i didnt see anything out of the ordinary ship board entertainment.did not go to second show.
