Wonderful cruise by
Jan S from Ft.Lauderdale, FL
Sailing date: Oct 2009 Pros:
Just relaxing
Cons:
What's not to like?
The ship was very clean, the personnel very pleasant, courteous and helpful. This cruise was mainly a time for my spouse and I to relax, so we didn't do a lot of activities on the ship, but mostly relaxed, but we enjoyed it thoroughly.

A very enjoyable and relaxing cruise!!! by
Opie C from Bicknell, IN
Sailing date: Jul 2009 Pros:
Entertainment and the food and the staff was excellent.
Cons:
Nothing everything was better than expected.
This was our first cruise and the whole family enjoyed the entire trip. The cabins were kept clean and the staff was very friendly. This cruise spoiled us having everything at our fingertips. A special thanks goes out to our waiter and waitress at our dinner, they were very professonal and excellent personalities. Their names were Eddy and Janet. We ate at the second seating at 8:15 on the cruise for July 4th to the 9th. The kids and us really enjoyed the dancing every night at dinner that the waiters did it was very entertaining, and the food was wonderful. You know it's good when the kids like it. Thanks again to the entire staff of the Carnival Destiny for making our first cruise a memorable experience.
Thanks,
The Charlton Family
Ship Quality Even though the ship was built in the 90's it was still in excellent shape.
Dining/Food The food was very good. If you went hungry on this ship then it was your own fault. You had food available 24/7.
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality The staff on this ship were very professional and friendly.
Entertainment & Activities The entertainment was excellent.

awesome trip! by
A Traveler from miami Fl
Sailing date: Jun 2009 Pros:
the food, shows, activities mostly everything!
Cons:
the prices of the pictures you take on the cruise 20 dollars for each picture!
overall my family and i loved the ship, our stay was awesome! we enjoyed every minute of it. you will not want to leave! the only bad thing was the prices for some things on the ship like pictures you take, 20 dollars for every picture and they take a million of them so u want to buy every single one! pictures do not vary in size and u cant really modify the sizes. its really the only bad thing overall awesome cruise and experience you will be planning your next stay before you even get off the ship! i definetly recommend to everyone who has never been on a cruise before you will love it!

Best Vacation In A Long Time by
George G. from Atlanta
Sailing date: Jun 2009 Pros:
Dining room food was excellent!
Cons:
Only 4 days, needed to be 5!
The ship was kept very clean 24/7. On the lido deck, there was a 200" screen where they showed movies and such. During the time I cruised, they showed the NBA Finals. There were over 3000 people on the ship, so getting food was somewhat of a menance at times. Otherwise, the shops, parties, picture backdrops, etc were great! I would recommend this 4 day cruise for anyone looking to briefly get away for the weekend. Destiny will not disappoint.

Key West, Florida We did the Conch Train tour. It was an hour and half and you got to see and know all the history of the island. In my opinion, because of the time alloted on the island, this was the best excursion to understand all the history - if you're a history buff....I'M NOT! :-)
Nassau, Bahamas See & Sea Tour - WASTE OF TIME. Please save your money and go swim with the dolphins for $100 more...you won't regret it. Atlantis is always a good place to visit if you've never been to Nassau.

An awesome cruise! by
A Traveler from Middletown CT
Sailing date: May 2009 Pros:
The whole experience
Cons:
None to think of
I really enjoyed myself on my first cruise. Everything was so nice. From the food, to our state room, shows and the wonderful scenery across the seas. I especially enjoyed the dinner in the universal dining room. The service and the food was great. The activities were fun to play while you lounge on the lido deck. There was always something fun to do. The sushi bar was out of this world. I did not mind waiting in line for that. Shore excursions was fabulous and I encourage any one going for the first time to make sure you know who the tour guide is and enjoy your destinations. I know the life boat drill is mandatory for everyone, but I could not stop laughing at the sea of orange people standing there. After the drill, all that was left to do was have a fun and relaxing time, which is what I did! I would go again.

fun cruise by
Wanda C from Virginia
Sailing date: May 2009 Pros:
larger rooms than RCI
Cons:
no solarium
This was a great cruise with lots of fun activities. I always like "Carnival" and prefer them above other cruise lines. I wish they would install an adult only section or solarium on their ships.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food Dining room entertainment was great.
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & Activities No diversity in the dancers. Need some Arican American and/or Hispanic flavor.

Grand Turk Island
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island) I've been here a couple of times and I just love it. Carnival provides everything for you. This is the highlight of the cruise.
Nassau, Bahamas Not enough time in the Bahamas.
Don't Miss: Atlantis and Straw market.

Fun & Relaxing at the same time! by
Nicholas B from Pleasant Grove, UT
Sailing date: Mar 2009 Pros:
The Islands Visited, Especially Half Moon Cay
Cons:
The food was not as good as expected.
The Ship was amazing. They did an amazing job on the design. The interior was simply fantastic. Different Colors rooms, lighting was neat. It was great.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food I had heard a lot about cruise lines and how the food was suppose to be absolutely amazing. I was disappointed with it. As far as the Staff. It was awesome.

Grand Turk Island Snorkling was a lot of fun. It was beautiful there. And a good time. Souveniors are really expensive which was to bad, but somewhat understandable.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island) Aqua Trax Excursion. I recommed everyone to do it. It was so exciting to have our own sea-do and go across the crystal clear water. When we got out to the Ocean we were able to jump the waves which was the most exciting part of my trip. The only thing that could have made it better would have been more time on the ocean. The beaches in Half Moon Cay were Marvelous. I would love to visit there again.
Don't Miss: Aqua Trax, and the Beach
Nassau, Bahamas I really enjoyed it there. I wish I would have gone to Atlantis. We did the island tour which was neat but I feel there was more I could have done.

Denise O. from Allegan Mi
Sailing date: Mar 2009 Pros:
Being on board
Cons:
having to end the vacation
No one could of prepared me for the ship, it was better than anyone had said, better than I could ever of imagined. Breath-taking beautiful, clean , fun...
Ship Quality clean clean clean
Dining/Food the service, the food, the food options, absolutly wonderful
Stateroom Quality we were in a "small" cabin with no window, at first we wondered will it be okay ? It was more than okay, clean comfortable, perfect....
Ship Staff Quality the hardest workers I have ever seen, but they allways have time to say hello, or good night.. and they all seemed so happy to be at work...
Entertainment & Activities what can I say, my hands still hurt from clapping !!!!
