The first-in-class Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Cruise Line's latest expression of Freestyle Cruising®, blends the best of Norwegian's groundbreaking Epic and the fleet's beloved Jewel-class with a host of new innovations to create an entirely new experience at sea.
There's The Haven By NorwegianTM, an exclusive "ship within a ship" reserved for just a privileged few. Discretely situated among the vessel's most desirable decks, The Haven is everything its name implies: a private enclave at sea, previously unavailable aboard any ship in the Norwegian family, that's home to Breakaway's most luxurious suite and villa accommodations, 24-hour butler service, a private beach club with poolside valet, a private restaurant, and a good deal more.
Then there's The Waterfront and 678 Ocean Place, three dynamic decks' worth of indoor and outdoor restaurants, bars, shops, and gaming, all of it designed to enhance guests' connection with the open seas. And the Splash Academy, the largest collection of youth and teen facilities ever featured aboard a Norwegian vessel (spanning two full decks). Plus fifteen unique dining venues (including fine seafood and wine at Ocean Blue by Geoffrey Zakarian, Food Network star and award-winning restaurateur), stylish staterooms rivaling anything you'd expect to find in today's top boutique hotels, and exceptional entertainment highlighted by Broadway hits (like the Rock of Ages musical) and an electrifying fireworks display on every sailing.
Norwegian Breakaway, with her distinctive hull artwork painted by iconic pop artist Peter Max, also enjoys the distinction of being the largest cruise ship to ever homeport in New York City.

Norwegian Breakaway began sailing out of New York City in May following her maiden/transatlantic voyage to the Big Apple from Southampton (London). Between now and mid-October, she will be undertaking a series of weeklong, roundtrip cruises to Bermuda (featuring an extended stay in historic King's Wharf) before switching gears to offer 7-Night Bahamas & Florida itineraries that will depart through April 2014. A very limited number of 2-Night New York sailings and 12-Night Southern Caribbean voyages, all departing in January 2014, are also available.
